Relationships between scenes
The movie scene that I chose was from the movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1, and this scene its a fighting scene with a bit of a comical side. The scene starts off with different angles and fast transitions as the characters are in a fight. The first few shots goes from character to character as they shoot and get hit, theres also a shot from above to get an idea of everyones position. The scene goes to half a body close up of a character holding a knife to the neck of another character named Hermione then goes to a slow zooming in of Harry's face which emphasizes his reaction, the shot goes back to her and than back to Harry's group dropping their wands in surrender. The shot than goes to Draco's father who was going to call Lord Voldamort by a tattoo so the shot goes from his face a slowly to the tattoo on his arm. As the shot is of his half body about to call Lord Voldamort there a loud squeaking an a shot transitions to the elf named Dobby un-tightening a screw to chandelier, the shot is then under the chandelier as it falls and loud crash is hear. This is a good example of editing between shots and knowing how to choose shots to add dramatization to this scene. Also there was good flow between each shot because all lighting and color scheme is the same in each shot also adding to the mood of each shot and to the scene overall.

What I hear
As I sit outside my house I few cars pass by, in the distance I hear one of those cars that make too much noise made to sound like a sports car but really isn't. I hear a mom who is carrying groceries walking with her young son who is talking about something that happened to his friend. Across the street walks a teenager with the music loud enough for me to hear the beat of the music. I hear the neighbor exiting his house and locking the door. I hear the wind lightly blowing the leaves from the trees. I hear a few more cars pass by.And I hear a hispanic woman speaking very loudly on the phone.

Artist Statement
I find different inspirations from different things that i enjoy in my life, like how I enjoy different types of art forms. I especially like going to museums and looking at older paintings from centuries ago, I like looking at the detail and the way some paintings look as if you were looking through a window. I find it impressive the way some artist, in a time of no computers or photographs could produce paintings and drawings that capture the moment so perfectly and not only that but can create feelings upon a viewer with subtle objects or the selection of certain colors and all without ever speaking a word. Like any creator of media, the art that one creates will do all the talking for an artist. An artist has the ability to shape and play with the mind causing it to think about thoughts one's mind might have never thought of before, artists are powerful in that sense. Along with older paintings I find inspiration from nature and traveling. I find nature to be beautiful, and like the paintings nature can have the power to create emotion. The sound or visualization of a river or waves on beach creates a calm or nostalgic state . The sound of thunder or the sight of lightning creates fear or in films it can create a foreshadow of something bad to happen. Traveling would have to be an important passion of mine. I love to travel and just be in a new location taking in the ambience. I think life's too short to not see what's outside someone's doorstep, the sounds and sights of new places would be a waste to not experience first hand. Every time a person steps out their door, their life and who they are changes a little bit. I like my works to have balance, an emotion and of course to always be a little bit different from the last.
